Apple Issue?

I tried getting a refund on an app and It read this: This purchase is also eligible for a refund. If you request a refund for this purchase, you will not be able to receive any future software updates after the refund is issued.

Does this mean that when IOS 8 comes out, I wouldnt be able to install it?

What it means is when a new version of that app is released, you wouldn't be able to update your current version to the latest anymore. It has nothing to do with iOS 8.
