well if you want more vewers and since its a movie network site, you should post about latest movies and their raitings etc.as soon as it is available.. And your site should be simple, i mean, everything in your website should be eassly acessable.
I wouldn't return to a website if things in it are hard to find...

And once you get enough viewers you can create options to create account in your site and make them rate the movies etc.,you should also try to post ads of your site in other sites..

you need to advertise. you can pay google to bring up your site. if you have enough money that is.

Well you could try out linkcollider.com, it works for me. I get hundreds of visitors a day since I started using it.
If you're on any forums or websites try to add it as your signature if you can.
Ask your friends to spread the word about it.
Create a twitter/facebook account for it and spread the word.

Just some ideas that have worked for me so far (I've been running my site for over two years now). Maybe you could try out meta tags too? http://www.onlinemetatag.com/

Make content that you can add to youtube, and connect it with social media so others can share.
