Recording studios in Toronto?
Alright so I live in Canada and I read online that Toronto was the most likely place to get noticed for singing if I could even get noticed at all. ANYWAYS, It's really hard to find stuff about this online but I'm nowhere near Toronto... if I were to pack up and move there what would be my next move? Going to a recording studio and sending demo's to recording labels or whatever? I definitely think I have what it takes to be a singer for sure, and I'm not one of those clueless people just saying that for the fame, I really can sing. I just don't know what to do!!!

Modern technology is such that you can make very decent - but of course not recording studio quality - recordings of your singing at home, and post it on various websites, including your own webpages,This is the modern "foot in the door". Inexpensive, high-quality recoding equipment is available at your nearest Future Shop or something similar.

It's also a good idea to sing in public locally as much as you can, and go to all entertainment venues in your area and ask if you can audition for an entertainment job. Sending samples via the Internet of your singing to as many people as possible doesn't hurt either.

As well, you might want to research how small-town girls like Shania Twain and Avril Lavigne got started, as well as others. You can derive ideas from their personal stories.

You're not at the recoding studio stage of the game yet

Good luck.

make a video and put it on Youtube Link to it from your Facebook, twitter etc plus tell all your friends If you areas good as you think then it should get lots of hits. Using this as a base contact any of a variety of talent agents in Toronto who will take it from there.

If you just show up at a recording studio they will be too busy to see you and would be only interested in having you pay for your own demo Agents are the way to go
