Why are some people listed in the white pages and others not?
I decided to search my name on google and found that I am listed in the white pages, along with my phone number and address. This is really creepy. I don't know how I became listed. I am only 22 so I am not a homeowner, nor do I have an account with the phone company. I decided to search some of my friends' names and I found some of them but there was nothing for others. Why is this? How do I unlist myself?

Back in the day you could request your name be omitted from the printed white pages.
If you are talking about whitepages.com, then: To remove your listing from http://www.whitepages.com and associated sites, visit the Privacy Settings section within your account and check the box to “Hide all information about me.†|
