Why should i get a Facebook?

I really want a facebook and I am Fifteen years old. My parents keep saying no because you develop fake relationships. How can I come back at that and what are some arguments towards getting a Facebook?

Please refer to any sources you know of. Any help is greatly appreciated.

facebook is an online community for u to make friends and all... there is no need to add people u dont know, focus on adding peopple that u do know. besides, facebook is an interesting way to stay connected with friends and family. assure your parents that you will stay away from people u dont know and that u wouldnt get into relationships. you can even tell them to get their own facebook and add u to make sure you aren't doing anything they dont know.
besides your 15 so you need to start getting some space, you are going to be a young adult soon, so you have to be able to take decisions and handle responsibilty.
try proving how responsible you can be on facebook
besides, if they dont allow you to have a facebook, then y do they allow u to have an email and a yahoo account?

your best option is to earn u parents trust with facebook and avoid online trouble and online relationsionships
