Do you think he has a girlfriend and is lying to me about her?

I met him when I started university, we met on a night out and hit it off right away. We exchanged numbers but I didn't think I would see him as anything more than a friend. After that he tried so hard to get me to like him, we talk everyday, meet up when we are both at uni ( we live in different cities so we only see each other at uni) he was even asking my friend what he could do to make me fall for him which eventually I did.

The night we met he told me that he was single but there was a girl who goes to university in Glasgow who introduced him to her parents as her boyfriend however they are not together.

Just before Christmas he told me he was going to Glasgow for the weekend because he has to see some people. While he was there he was still texting me but not as often as he normally did which made me feel he was with this girl. I confronted him about it and he told me he still sees her but she isn't his girlfriend and that he has never lied to me about anything.

A few weeks ago we were having coffee and he got a text, I didn't see the message however it was off "Kim xxxxxx" he quickly picked his phone off the table and put into his pocket. That night on Facebook I saw that a girl name Kim had commented on his status and when i looked at her profile he goes to university in Glasgow and her profile picture was of her and him.

Is he lying? Is this girl is girlfriend and if she is why is he texting me everyday telling me how beautiful I am and how much he really like me?

Hi might be lying, I'd proceed with caution until you can find out for sure.

It doesn't surprise me that when he want to Glasgow for the weekend to catch up with mates he didn't text you as much, but that doesn't mean he was with a girl.

He might be lying. Him slowing down texts when he left does not equal him hanging around another girl. He is just busy. But yes he could be lying. He sounds like a player maybe that is why he is always telling you how beautiful you are.
