Question about downloading?

When you go to a website's homepage, and it has images, even though you don't click on them, have you downloaded them? I'm just talking about going to a URL that happens to have images on its homepage. Is it possible to view images like this without downloading them?

well, they are dropping cookies on you

but just "being " there, does not constitute downloading

you must actively save as, etc to actually download
