Facebook kind of not sure?

Basically can you keep someone as a friend on Facebook but not let them see your posts unless you tag them in the status?

Pretty pointless to have them as a friend but not sure if someone has done it to me.

I can see their posts that involve me but not shared things or random stuff.

Yeah it can be done

On your status where it says "What's on your mind?" next to the post button there is where it gives you the option to choose who will see your status

- custom lets you choose which friends will see it and which wont
rest of the other options are self explanatory.
