What are the first 3 things check when doing an SEO audit?

There are so many, but the three factors that I'd pick up are:
- Backlinks status & Crawling issues in Google Webmaster Tools
- Organic Traffic/Trends in Google analytic
- Internal Linking Structure & Content within the site

If you only want three vital factors, look at:

1) On site optimization - page title, meta descriptions, meta keywords, header tags, onpage content, internal linking, etc.

2) Off site optimization - link building (quality backlinks, one way, do follow, from related pages, low outbound link count, authoritative, etc.)

3) Social media exposure

1) First thing is the site strength. What is its PR., site structure etc.
2) Second thing is its onpage work. The meta title, description,H1 and H2 tag, google webmaster and analytics access, image alt tag.
3) Third is off page work means site promotion, its backlink, Link building, SMO etc.
