You probably need to consider things which are small enough to mail or ship at low cost. Something that you are familiar with is a good start, but check what is available. Jewelry is popular on eBay for example---- but there are thousands of people selling jewelry. See if you can find someone who makes a product locally but doesn't offer it online, or try selling things for other people for a commission. Good luck.

The great majority of people who try to do business on the internet fail, don't quite that part tine job until you are actually earning more for a few months in a row on the internet, odds are it will take some time to build up an online business.

There are a number of sites where you can sell your photography, or as stock images licensed for perhaps $1 per online usage. Aside from buying selling, even those with no special design or technical skills can make a little writing articles for web sites starting at about $3 for 450 words), or as a virtual assistant or virtual call center at home, iweriter.com and textbroker.com are example article brokers, elance.com and odesk.com are a couple of the biggest freelance worker marketplaces. Elance alone paid $130 Million in the first half of 2013, their employment breakdown is interesting.

In your situation, I think you may become a <a href="http://www.outsourcing2vietnam.com/blog/130-major-types-of-virtual-assistants.html">Virtual Assistant</a>- an online and freelance job.
It will help you earn money but you can have more time to care your children.
