internet keeps on dropping?

My internet keeps on dropping every 5 min and its so frustrating its gotten to the point where I want to throw my modem and router out the window. The green light for the internet randomly shuts off so when that happens no one can use the internet until it turns on again. Is it the wiring? Or the router and modem? Please help me as quicklt as possible.

If you have a modem look on the back or on the front for a reset button and click the button, wait for ten seconds and click it again.

Contact your ISP and see if they can confirm the service dropping or not. If not, then it's most likely problem with your router. Check for firmware updates on your router. Reset to factory defaults and start from scratch. Still happens, pickup a new one. They are cheap enough now-a-days.
