Why are people so hateful and stupid in high school?

People spread rumors, gossip and do some pretty fucked up stuff. Guys get girls preg and leave them like a piece of trash. But when you go to college almost NONE of that happens. Why are kids so terrible in high school?

Hormones, growing up, confusion, their childhoods, the way they are brought up, etc etc etc.

But you still have this to a certain extent in college and in the real world .Ever seen Twitter or any other social site? Adults can be just as cruel and stupid.

Also, men leave women all the time, pregnant or not.

People are hateful and stupid even out side of high school. Adults are like this as well to.

High school students are forced to pretend to be children for five years after childhood has ended. Nobody makes any attempt to teach them how to act like adults, they just treat them like it's a crime to be a teenager. Almost everything a teenager knows was learned from other children.

When they go to college, they meet some people who know how to act grown up, and childish behavior is not accepted any more so they grow up very quickly.
