Do I need a license even if I wanted to started off small and generate income to build the brand more? What I mean is selling online via social media promotion

Actually for any actual business, you need one. However, there are a lot of social media stores that have their business on personal terms like having a garage sale, you don't need to have some form of license to put on sale your stuff. If its just small scale and not really that much big like you want to put up a store or an area for your store then you need not a license. However, you should declare your taxes responsibly too.
