Why does my internet explore keep closing on me?

Seriously. I get on, and then five minutes later it closes out. I can't watch videos either. Like, I'll get on youtube and it will say an that an error occurred and then five seconds later it will close me out. same with like facebook or anything. Seriously what the hell..If someone can help me that would be great. this laptop is just over a year. Also, if you could tell me some viruses or things to look for with viruses that would be even more helpful. Thanks.

Post which IE version, like 9, 10, 11.

11 has some compat probs w/ some web sites.

I'm on 10; I rolled back to it by uninstalling 11 after it auto installed.

I put my Windows updates at Check for updates only, not d/L or install.

I keep 10 fully updated w/ Important updates, Security updates, Hotfixes, System & some Optional. For me, all the massive .Net Framework updates aren't necc unless they'r Security updates for it.

So I'd get on 10 and update it.

Windows has built in anti vir w/ Microsoft Security Essentials. type that in Start's search box and see if it's enabled. Then update it & run it.
