Why won't the video feature on instagram work for my android tablet?

I HAVE THAT EXACT SAME PROBLEM!
I have an android phone and i updated the app but its the same as before the update! But worse. Now when i upload a CLEAR... nice pic... it turns out like 'glitchy'. AND IM REALLY ANNOYED THAT VIDEO WONT WORK! i have the SAME ig camera as before. and when i go to a 'video' i cant play it and its just like a normal pic. It seems that every instagram update has made it WORSE and WORSE. but i Iphone users dont have that problem -_- *sigh* im so close to getting an Iphone.

And sorry its not an answer... but just saying its happening to me too and i have NO clue if you can fix it or not.

I have software 4.1.3 on my droid and my instagram updated. I have the video button and it records but then it just resets and says "press here to record". smh. I can watch videos but they should fix this soon.

Same thing with me!! I can veiw the videos but when it comes to recording my videos ill be done recording the video but when i try to go to the next page to post it they keep tellin me to record my video!!!!!

I have an LG SPECTRUM by Verizon and I recently updated my Instagram, The video in the stream works fine but I cannot post my own video there is no Video icon. But these are first world problems right. .....

Same. I take a video using the camera. I try uploading it on Instagram and after putting a filter and posting it, it crashes. I've tried reinstalling and it is updated to the current version. So frustrating!
