Am I addicted to technology?

People always tell me I'm addicted to technology, like my phone, laptop and video games. I understand their point because I'm on my phone a lot (not texting, playing games and on twitter mostly), I basically stay on my laptop all the time while at home and I play some video games. I don't think I'm addicted since I can go without technology, for instance I've been grounded a few times before or banned from certain things and it didn't effect me too much,

I love that phrase, "it didn't affect me too much." In other words, normally you are plugged into the internet just about every waking moment. It is difficult to do anything physically demanding when one of your hands is occupied by a cell phone. You thinking that you are not addicted does not make it a reality. Alcoholics rarely admit to themselves and others that they are addicts. Same probably applies to you in this instance.
