Does other's up speed affect my down speed? Torrent question?

A lot of peers of one of my torrent is all like 0.2kb/s up speed, while I'm all around 15kb/s for up speed, does my peers up speed affect my down speed? I'm getting about 30kb/s which is quite bad

Yes it does, the faster the rate they are uploading or seeding, the faster you can download.

Yes it does. You are downloading from the same server they are uploading - if they are uploading slow - you have to wait, or it swarms to another peer - this could cause lag.

But I think # of peers is just as important as speed of peers
