Why can't I put a url in my fanfiction.net story?

I made a story document in fanfiction.net. One of the scenes in the story is based of a picture on deviantart (and yes, i asked the artist for permission). When I made the author's note giving credit to the artist, I put in the url so people can go see the picture. When I save the document, it doesn't show the full link. I want it to show the full link so people can go to the page with the picture. Why does it do that?

The site just doesn't allow people to put emails/links inside stories. You can always put spaces in the link or tell your readers that the link is on your profile.
