There are many different ways to increase traffic and these can be generally categorized into 2, free methods and paid methods.

The free methods of traffic are usually slower eg. article writing, blogs, forums, etc...

1) Share your website in Social Media Platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Stumbleupon, G+, Pinterest - from these websites definitely you can get a good amount of traffic.

You need to meet following parameters to get real and free traffic to your website:
- Unique content ( most important )
- Well desinegned website or blog ( you can use premium themes )
- Update your website daily ( otherwise you will be ignored by search engines)
- Link Building ( By guest posting , commenting , SE submissions and directory submissions)

When you will work by keeping all this in your mind then you will get free , targeted and genuine traffic.
