How to I edit/move this contact on a Samsung Galaxy 4.2?!?

So I have a Samsung Galaxy 4.2 player. When I first got it was confused as to where I saved my "contacts" so I would save them to "Device" however I saved them to the option that said "Device" but it had my email underneath it. Now when I go to look for the contact it dosent show up in my contact book and when I can find it, on Kies Air I cannot edit it. What did I do? Is there a way to transfer all my contacts to the normal option of "device." Thats all the added detail that I can give, however if you need more info tell me! I have no idea how to work technology what so ever!
I have a Gmail account (It's not letting me respond to you personally for some reason "Met")
It shows my contacts but not the people who I am looking for on my device. It shows the people that already 'show up'

I actually figured it out after you said the import/export settings thing. I did something slightly different but it worked! Thank you so much! II'm sorry for being so technologically troubled, I'm glad somebody out there understands technology!

It Probably saved it to your email address book. What email do you have (just the part after the @)

Log in to your gmail account and at the top left where it says gmail. select that and change it to contacts. Does it then show a list of contacts or just a sentence about adding contacts?

If you go to the contacts app on the device and press the menu button do you get an option to "Import/Export"?

Try importing from USB storage.
