Your search has probably failed because the question is too broad and doesn't make much sense. What do you mean by networking business? Are you talking about computer networks, social networks or some other sort of networking? What do you mean by "how known" the business is?

You really have to ask more detailed questions if you want any useful response.

I could guess that you might be referring to Multi Level Marketing (MLM) that classically uses a pyramid structure to network together people promoting some business.

It is a traditional type of business and most people who are not so much into online marketing join this type of business model. But of course there are online versions as well.
