Do Email Accts Deactivate If You Don't Login?
I have Yahoo Mail and one of my accounts just told me it's no longer active, because I hadn't logged in in a while. Well, that was annoying!!! I use that account as a back-up and now it's deactivated by Yahoo!
Grrrrr!!!! I'm wondering for people who use non-Yahoo emails whether or not you have the same issues? Is there any email program that won't do this to people? I think it was maybe 6 months that I last used that Yahoo account and to me that's just dumb. I can maybe understand if I hadn't used it in 3 years, but 6 months??? Come on!! I had some stuff in that account that is now lost forever (nothing super important, but there were some things that I'd liked to have a copy of still). Thanks for your answers. *bump* Ads |

Yahoo accounts deactivate if you won't sign in for 3 months on a row.
And it's not same for other mails. Gmail lasts for 6 months to 1 year. But Hotmail deactivates in a longer time. Try signing in with the same yahoo account again, if it doesn't work then it's deleted. Ads |

I did lose an email account due to that, my desktop was not setup when I moved, and thousands of emails came through. They said on one site that it was the number of emails which caused it to be closed, several thousand.
