Facebook timeline question?

On the old facebook layout, the people who appeared on the left hand side of the page apparently looked at your profile the most. On timeline, next to your profile picture there are 6 people - are they the ones who look at your profile the most, or is it a bunch of random people? When i refresh the page the same people appear.

I don't even know if the old layout thing is true. I'm confused, can someone explain this all to me?

the people next to your profile picture usually aren't the ones who look at your profile the most...mine changes all the time. I'm pretty sure that it's whoever you have had contact with on facebook most recently so in your case it could be the same 6 people
