Online advertising with Google or facebook.?
We run a new Stag & Hen company and need more exposure.
Is Google or Facebook better for what we do.
It also needs to be cost effective.

When you get into this type of marketing, being cost effective is important. With out knowing to many details, I can tell you from my experience a few things :

Get with a very good SEO Company. Organic will outlast paid. With organic, you will continue to show up in search results, and begin to generate quality leads. ( we use imperialwebsolutions.net based in orlando, fl)

Google: run in the google search to being with, rather than all search and network. Google search will be a higher quality search. Take time to set up your target market in the GEO section. Do you want to advertise locally, state wide, this time zone, country wide, or world wide? You can set your target there.

Use Quality Keywords that are specific. I typically start out with phrases ex: shirt vrs blue silk shirt (the more specific the better the quality for you.)

Create an ad with a solid call to action : Get Blue Shirts Today!
Order your blue shirt here
Free Shipping on all orders!

Facebook is similar, however it is not a "search" you are targeting more towards someones "interest" You can blow through a budget preaty quick, and it is a more impulse type of click since they are not specifically searching for it. It has similar geo targeting features, and you will select critera based on a persons interest. Ex. love blue shirts, loves to wear shirts, clothes shopping, ect.

If it were me, I would start with search on google, and start small, and targeted, and then grow your budget and geo. Also, I would very much suggest you have a solid landing page for them to go to once they have clicked on your ad, no matter where it is placed. Do not just send them to your site, they will not know what to do. Send them to a landing page to generate leads, or sales, ect. I hope this helps.

Advertising is very complicated, I am a Senior Project Mngr and over see several clients.

Facebook IMHO because you can get cheaper clicks and much better targeting. You can run small campaigns targeting a certain town/city and look for people with interests like 'weddings', 'drinking' Wink and even those whose relationships have changed (engaged!).

Adwords is a beast and I would advise you to get a good SEO company involved before throwing your cash at it Smile

The best one is GOOGLE. it's cheaper than FAcebook.
Another thing is for example, you wanna sell an ebook about how to train your dog. Somebody will buy your book who is really interested in training a dog so he will search how to train a dog through Google NOT Facebook. And he will find what he is actually looking for and you will find the right customer. But in FAcebook you will just advertise it to people who most of them are not interested in training a dog and if they click your ad for any reason, Facebook will charge it and that person may leave the website easily because he is not interested in your product. Right customer will find you through Google. SO, go with google. I hope it helped Smile
