does paypal do a background check before letting ppl sign up? Im not gonna use it for illegal things.?

somebody was telling me how I can only do paypal if I submit to a background check and I already know what they'll find and I won't be alllowed to trade on there because of it, first off is this reallly true and a requirment not an option and also is tthere any way around it perhaps?

Honestly I hope your just messing around and trolling the internet and that you are not really that stupid. If you didn't know paypal does not do background checks you just have to sign up. Hope this helps

Agree with Joseph. Why in the world would they do a background check? They're simply a "banking" type of web site. You simply sign up.
