Please advise me with my advert?

I want to advertise myself as a private teacher. I want to place an advert on the noticeboard in this centre near me. Should I put a professional business type card, you know the usual size, or should I make my own advert on a piece of card?
Obviously if I made my own I would make it bigger so it is more noticeable because my business card is quite small and you have to look closely to read what it says. On the otherhand I don't know if sticking up something I made would have made myself would come across as unprofessional and a business card, though small, would be better.

Please advise me what should I use? Business card or
Make my own?

make a professional looking ad. Have it printed on nice paper, with color.

Hi Samantha,
If you're allowed to put up a larger ad, go for it! It will usually get you more attention. One way I've done it in the past with good results is to fold your large paper and make a pocket for your regular cards to go in. That way people can start reading your large ad and pull a business card to take home with them.
4 color sheets are cheap to print and cards aren't too much, either. Create a theme for both that fits your identity and off you go.
