Can you be fired on social media? If so, can you sue the company for wrongful termination?
Company: Subway
I have proof of being fired over twitter. I went and asked a manager he said its true I was fired by an employee who is considered a manager but is not officially due to family relationship with owner. Do I have a case or no? Also, it isn't like defamation? They embarrassed me on twitter. I did nothing wrong, it was because an employee didn't like me and they fired me. I'm sure Subway as a corporation doesn't support acts like that. Ads |

Wrongful termination depends on why you were fired not how. They could hire a sky writer if they wanted to. It's unprofessional but not illegal

Twitter is world wide and if you said anything bad about your employer on a public forum, they can sue you let alone fire you.
