Atkins diet motivation?
Back in October I followed the Atkins diet eating plan & lost 20 lbs. In November, it was my daughter's birthday and while I didn't even really want to as much as I told myself I deserved it, I ate cake. Since that day, I have not been able to get back on this diet. I try and try and I just NEED bread & sweets! I stick to it for a few days then I cave in & eat carbs galore. I have made my mind up that Atkins works for me. But how can I motivate myself to stick to it so I can lose my goal of 70-80 lbs?! Maybe someone has some advice or success story?

Different things work for different people and I was lucky enough to find one that worked for me. I lost 18 pounds in one month without much exercise and it's been a life changer. I wish someone would have helped me out when I was struggling to find a solution so if I can help you then it would make my day. I want to be as helpful as I can but I also don't want to bore you with too many personal details. I've attached my before and after photos from the last month, I know...the first one is pretty gross but I just wanted you to understand where I came from so you can know that you're not alone. fast fit fat program (fastfitfat.com) is working really well for me, I started taking it about 35 days ago and I haven't stopped losing weight. Some days I feel really tired but I guess that's a typical side effect, I offset a lot of that feeling by the excitement I get out of looking in the mirror every morning. It's an awesome feeling...

Bare with this, Do you actually have the Atkins book, and did you follow it correctly? IF the diet is done correctly your blood sugar will stabilize and you will not crave sweets and breads. You'll still know you miss them, but that internal "I MUST EAT THAT" will not be there. People who crave while on their diet aren't regulating their blood sugar meaning their screwing up somewhere.

I could literally eat my body weight in french fries and cake, I'm not kidding. BUT I don't. Because although want to, I have control. I don't have control because I'm that good, I have control because my blood sugar is in check. I lost 80lbs on Atkins and like you it's the ONLY thing that works. Your already well aware that the low fat dieting is a scam and only further destroys your metabolism and put us all where we are today. But you MUST fight through it.

STRONGLY recomend signing up at Atkins Diet bulletin board and getting never ending advise from people like me who actually understand and have done the diet. http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/forum.php It's free of course.

First, you need to read up on Atkins. When you do, you'll likely find a TON of motivation. Your weight gain is just one of the negative health effects you may be experiencing from metabolic dysfunction. I have been in ketosis for 3 years, which is essentially phase 1 of Atkins. I lost 45 pounds in two months (my goal weight). I remain in ketosis for its many health benefits.

For motivation, join some groups on Facebook, lowcarb forums and blogs. A lot of education you can get into every day!
