I've seen the same stupid stuff around here. I think it's an internet thing, not a twitter thing. For all we know they might just be Poes.

Twitter is not stupid, users are stupid. You'll find the same sort of thing on any open source site. Just look at some of the questions and answers posted in R&S if you need convincing.
