How to Get Domain name? Can it be close to one i have?

Okay I have a website which was banned by google, because some idiots did black hat and really messed big time.

- Can i take a domain name close the business name i have? or it might interfere with the website we have?
- Will it get indexed fast if i do things correctly?

too many people worry about what google thinks or does, relook at your traffic logs and take lots of time to analyze them.

is it smart to abandon that site, just because of google? if they have banned the site, then no traffic should be coming from them.

google is NOT the only way to drive traffic to your site, nor is it the ultimate authority.

I personally would not start over, without taking a week or so to analyze all my traffic, my rankings in other search engines and places like quantcast, complete, Alexa, etc and then make an informed decision

Competitors have been known to sabotage the ranking of a site with Negative SEO, like links from bad neighborhoods, as far as the links Google has a disavow form where you say you didn't crate and don't want those links.

You will be effectively starting from scratch, the new domain will cost about $12/year through a registrar, some have bulk search functions allowing you to check availability of a list of similar names.

Normally you would salvage visitors to the old site with a 301 redirect to the new one. Whether redirecting from the old domain to the new site will be a plus, or seen as bad neighborhood traffic, I am not sure.

Matt Cutts has addressed this issue. Even if you will build a new website but it is still associated with the penalized site, your new website might get penalized because Google reviews other website associated to the "penalized website".
