That's a very nice question and makes you think a lot about let's say "old school marketing theory"
Well this is part of the budgetary decision making procedure "Direct Objectives" are at a higher level.
So it is about setting marketing goals.

The Direct Objectives are the definition of what we want to achieve within a specific time frame.

Than comes the question: But how are we going to do it? Since you have different ways of achieving the same goal:

Content strategy is the way we going to use "Content" (KING) to lead you to the goal that was defined in the objectives. Usually this comes down to: how are we going to spend the money that we have available to achieve the set goal.
