your internet provider will most likely "rent" you a modem. You will probably want to get an internet connection of at least 10+Gbps for the gaming use. You will want a wireless N router with at least 300Mbps minimum, but I would recommend you get one that is around 450+Mbps. You will then be able to wirelessly connect your games and Ipad. Just make sure what Ghz they (your devices) operate in. Most devices will do 2.4, and that is the most common, but 5Ghz is another bandwidth that some may use.

The best way is to get :
- Modem with router (can be built in)
- >7Mbps Speed (If using multiple devices at once, get >10Mbps)
- >70gb Bandwidth or Unlimited
- Use Ethernet cables with PS3 (CAT6)
