What im confused about is do you sell someone elses products? If so do you get to choose? Such as video games? If you do get to choose how do you know what your suppose to sell? And do i need to join wordpress.org?

You can choose a product niche as an Amazon Associate to suit your own marketing niche.

It has nothing to do with Wordpress but you can place your Amazon widget on self-hosted Wordpress blogs or on static websites.

You are selling products Amazon site has. You can sell almost products they have and you get a commision 4% - 8% depending on the item.

When you are accepted all you have to do is login and browes products. At top you will see a tab with affiliate link for the product. You take the link and add it to your site.

No you don't need to join Wordpress.join. I don't see why its even relevent. But you need to have a web site mention when you apply for Amazon affiliate program.
