what is wrong with my website??? http://www.ninageorge.co.uk?
Hi Everyone, I am new to yahoo and wondered if any of you lovely people can tell me if I am doing anything wrong? I have a small business making bridal Accessories and get loads of hits on my site..24,000! but not many sales, in fact I don't recall any. Please if anyone has any suggestions I would be most grateful. I want to do this as a full time job. Hope to hear from you http://www.ninageorge.co.uk
Thank you
Nina

There is only a mobile phone number and a form to fill in for contact. Perhaps people are a bit wary of buying when they don't know where the company is based and there is no land line number. I can't comment on the prices, as I have never been a bride! Perhaps you should register at Companies House too if you are serious about starting a business.

There doesn't seem to be anything "wrong" with it - though the shop part was a bit slow when I was navigating round it.

Also it was slightly odd to see that when I added one thing to my 'basket' the total cost was higher than the price of the item. Presumably that's just for postage+packing, but it doesn't say that, so it might put people off using it. Screenshot here: http://i3.minus.com/i3yPVUCSAgGfd.png

However, I'm surprised you get so many hits when your website doesn't appear anywhere near the top of a Google results list so I'm not sure people would find it easily:

Perhaps you should try some search engine optimisation:

Alternatively you could join up with a third party site to sell your items through, e.g. Etsy:

Hope some of that is helpful.

This warned me to stay away:
Registrant's address:
The registrant is a non-trading individual who has opted to have their
address omitted from the WHOIS service.

Nina, it s a really beauty shop, but ....

1 - very slow and heavy - based on flash and java script

2 - Flash and java script are not Google friendly - so - people will not find you via Google

3 - In Contact section - no address, name and phone - you just lists places where your good could be found. It's not bringing trust in your customers and they are not ordering.

The lack of details as already mentioned by others is a big put off factor.
Mobile phone number is never a good idea.
The high amount of 'visitors' when the site does not come up on searches adds to the feeling of not being quite right.
No explanation of why prices are higher in basket than advertised.
Very slow and clunky site to use though extremely pretty I must say.

its a terrible site thats why.

People like to feel jewellery not pay for something that is only a flat picture of it.
copyright date is out of date
why would anyone want to log in / join? its an online shop (isnt it)
old comments should be removed
"new stock inspired by nina on a boat 2011" doesn't inspire me
My consultation fee so far is £200, i decline to continue until paid

You need to have AFFILIATE products adds on your site, and if your shop is selling jewelries, then I suggest the main PAGE Picture should show some sort of jewelries on the model.
