How can Internet explorer 11 be customised?

I'm planning to get a new pc in April and having seen the new internet explorer my blood ran cold.

it's totally different from IE9 and i'm a little dubious about it (hell i'm dubious about windows 8 PERIOD and praying that windows 8.1 becomes the standard for desktops so that i dont have to deal with that....touchscreen design for too long)

so can anybody tell me if it's possible to customise internet explorer 11 so that the address bar and toolbars are at the top of the screen? or should i just prepare to download google chrome or something else when i get the new pc

I had 11 briefly and it looked just like my current 10.

and 10 looked like 9.

of course you can customize it.
