Need help understanding ebay "or best offer"?

I made an offer on ebay for a wallet and the seller gave me a counteroffer that i dont like. Would the seller be able to go back and accept my first offer? I found a different wallet i want for cheaper and i dont want to end up paying for 2 different wallets. Thank You for the help!

No once he counters the offer he won't be able to go back and change it back to what you ready offered, it's basically your move you can either except it or counter back or in your case pass and get a different item
