What are some ideas for a good website?

I want to make a functional website that I can really use. I have the expertise, so I don't have to hire a webdeveloper or a designer. Making websites is not the problem: the problem is thinking of ideas.

I don't want the following things:
-Portfolio site (already done)
-Site where people can post idea's (already done that)
-Blog (I can't write good articles).

All help with ideas would be good!
I don't want to use plugins, platforms or frameworks, I can actually write my own plugins etc.
