Justification of my recent questions concerning the blatantly fixed fight between Angulo and Canelo?
Here follows a list of what I believe to be good indicators that the Angulo vs Canelo fight was fixed. It goes without saying that I don't have any categorical proof as I am not a detective and I do not have the minutes of private conversations between Haymon and Shaefer etc lol

1. Angulo's unstable behaviour on All Access- the behaviour of a man who had been told to throw a fight. Maybe the constant tears during filming were tears of shame?

2. Angulo's walk to the ring- I have never seen someone look so depressed when they are about to embark on the biggest fight of their life. I mean jesus christ! Is that not the face of a man witht he world on his shoulder, a guilty man, a man full of shame?

3. The fact that Golden Boy had already pencilled in Canelo for other PPV's this year and next- How could they allow him to lose and risk destroying this new cash cow of boxing?

4. Angulo's performance in the first 8 rounds- He didn't throw 1 power punch, he was throwing at a quarter of his normal power, every punch was pulled, he WAS NOT TRYING TO DO DAMAGE TO CANELO. In round 9 Angulo threw some left hook that were obviously meant to miss-Joke.

5. Virgil Hunter's comical advice- "Hit him everywhere", What the fuck is that? I believe both Angulo and Hunter were resigned to carrying out the orders of Golden Boy Promotions ie. throw the fight, but they were trying to tell us something with their very strange behaviour (That this was fixed fight)

6. Angulo's reaction when the fight was stopped, along with Tony Week's smirk- It seems to me he was told he could at least salvage some pride by seeing the final bell, but it looks like this was taken from him too.

7. Angulo's performance against James Kirkland- Angulo was throwing with WAY WAY more power vs Kirkland in the final 3 rounds of that fight when he had already punched himself out in the first round trying to get Kirkland out of there. Watch round 1 of Angulo vs Kirkland to see Angulo throwing at full power.

8. Juan Manuel Marquez sent out 3 tweets basically saying that the fight was fixed and Angulo had been bought. There is a lot of chatter on Mexican news that the fight was fixed also.

Guys, I was shocked and disgusted at what I saw, I have no vested interest in boxing, and I am not a massive fan of Angulo, though I did pick him to win. I am totally unbiased in my views on boxing, I tell it like it is. So flame away, but this is how I see it.
Edit 9: This one could possible be seen to be the most damaging: A Spanish news website is reporting that the FBI are investigating Goldenboy Promotions for the controversial fight between Angulo and Canelo. Read it and weep boys lol

I think that maybe some people had too high an opinion of Angulo. Maybe the guy just wasn't as good as Canelo. I cant fault you for suggesting that it could have been fixed since boxing is a shady sport, but I just don't think it was the case. Canelo was just much faster than Angulo and was able to use his speed and head movement to frustrate Angulo. I was having similar thoughts as yours at the beginning of the fight as it seemed everything Canelo threw was hard and I expected Angulo to come out swinging. But it seemed Canelo throwing hard at the beginning and walking Angulo back completely changed Angulos game plan. After taking some hard punches he wasn't going to brawl and get ko'd like he did against Kirkland. Maybe the eye injury during the Lara fight also had him tentative. And when he did finally start coming forward Canelo was counterpunching the crap out of him. Maybe you are correct, but if that were the case then maybe Mayweather also paid Canelo to lose. I don't think either of those fights were fixed. I just think in both of the fights there was a gap in quality between the fighters. I was very impressed with Canelos defensive ability, speed, and counterpunching. It was similar to anytime Floyd fights and schools the competition while you're screaming for the opponent to swing for the fences and maybe they'll get lucky and land a good punch. Certain styles just make other look bad.

now my opinion after the fight i was like thinking thisfifight is wrong . because of what i saw from angulo vs lara made me think that angulo will win this fight . aginst lara he was so damn good. he throu punches ect.

aginst canelo he was just walking into canelos punches. i dont rember how maney power punches had angulo thrown but what ever . if this fight was fixed then canelo should not fight any more

1. Angulo's unstable behaviour ...

Why is showing emotion considered unstable behavior?? Boxers are human too and Angulo is obviously an emotional guy, nothing unusual about that. When he donated his hair to some cancer charity, he started crying then too.

2. Angulo's walk to the ring..

He always has a serious expression in the ring. That's just his face.

3. The fact that Golden Boy had already pencilled...

It's common for promoters to talk about potential fights on the horizon. Sometimes it backfires when a fighter suffers an upset, but there's nothing wrong with having confidence in your fighter and thinking about future plans.

4. Angulo's performance..

Angulo ALWAYS has a habit of pushing his punches because he struggles to gain leverage when his opponent isn't right in front of him. Canelo rocked Angulo from the very first punch and was repeatedly knocking him on his BACK FOOT with hard combinations. The fact that he was able to absorb so much punishment and remain upright is a testament to his heart, but it's unrealistic to also expect him to pressure effectively while taking such punishment, especially when he's a limited boxer to begin with. Not to mention Canelo was doing an excellent job of parrying, slipping and blocking Angulo's shots inside. His defense on the inside is far better than Lara or Kirkland's.

5. Virgil Hunter's comical advice...

Angulo is a slow come forward brawler. What kind of advice did you expect him to give other than to keep throwing and pressuring?

6. Angulo's reaction when the fight was stopped...

Again, you're reading too much into their facial expressions. Angulo's team could have easily thrown in the towel between rounds and no one would have questioned it. So why create a spectacle which would only give fuel to the haters looking for any excuse to find criticism even if they have to resort to conspiracy theories??

7. Angulo's performance against James Kirkland..

Different fighters, different outcomes.

8. Juan Manuel Marquez sent out 3 tweets...

Marquez has always been a critic of Canelo. He doesn't like his quick rise to fame. And Angulo and Canelo both train out of the US so there's no reason to assume those Mexican critics have an inside scoop.

Edit 9: A Spanish news website...

Just because a website reports something, it doesn't make it true. The site claims they have some mystery unnamed source close to the story. it should be viewed as nothing more than gossip unless actual credible evidence surfaces.
