Some websites do offer free-websites, such as http://www.webs.com although they also list premium alternatives.

To register a website, you would need to sign up to a web-hosting company and purchase a domain-name for the website and take out one of their hosting packages.

Depending on the webhost, you can pay monthly, yearly or bi-yearly based on what options that they give.

My suggestion is to look around the different webhosting companies and speak to their sales team before purchasing anything - don't purchase a hosting plan larger than you need to save money at first.

Good luck.

I have my website hosted at http://www.marchmedia.ws and it's working out great. The rates aren't too high and they have 24/7 support. You get everything you need and no contract or anything like that Smile Although I would pay ahead for the year, that way you can lock things in.
