Computer help!!!!!!!?

A few days ago it was trying to exit out of my internet explorer Page ( chrome wasn't working ) and pop ups came up so I tried to exit out of those. Long story short my internet explorer page is frozen but nothing else is. PS IM USING
WINDOWS 8

I think if you just use the old 'cold boot' meaning unplug the computer, when you start it back up it will be ok.

Also you should be able to quit programs that are not responding.

If none of those work call a computer repair person to come and look at it.
