Why under Facebook plugin suggestions when setting up a page does it give you html if you cant use it?
I am setting up my Facebook page for my programme that I work on and under suggestions for promoting your page it suggests adding on buttons for subscribe and like etc etc... it provides you with the html codes for your page and tells you how to add them in where you want them to appear on your page. But how do you access your page html coding? I can't find that anywhere.. and when I google the question I get a 'don't be stupid Facebook would never let you access html for the site'... am I being totally silly here? Has anyone else set up their own buttons etc?
I have allowed for subscription but when I log out as my work login and go in as myself I cant subscribe to my page... does anyone know the reason for this or how to fix it?
Also does anyone know if I'm doing something wrong or is managing/doing admin for a 'business/company/community' page a lot harder than a regular every day 'person' page? I love my own personal facebook page but trying to set this work one up is really annoying!! I'd like for people to be able to subscribe, like, leave messages, interact but it seems I may have either set it up wrong or set up the wrong type of account for what I want. I tried to set it up as a 'person' regular account but it wouldn't allow it.
I'm wondering why my business page does not appear the same as my own page e.g. the options on the left side, search bar at top etc etc... all that comes up on mine is my own page and an admin section I can hide and bring forward... is this correct?

the html codes they give you are for your own website, where you can use html - they are not intended to be used on facebook itself - you create the like button on your website using the code they give you if you want to track people liking your website page, not your facebook page (if you dont have your own website, then they are worthless)

it is a commonly asked question - but your like page already has a like button, so there is no need to add one

i've done this before - do you have your own paid website or not?

if so, you have to first set up an "application" that ties into your page, then use the html code on your own website

here's an example

http://abrax.us/Facebook/ChromeAndFacebook.php

there's a "like" button at the top left (wait for the page to load) and there is a comments section at the bottom

there are developer instructions here - https://developers.facebook.com/ - but as you may have already figured out, it's complex, and nothing like setting up a simple like page on facebook that doesnt interact with your external website

make some posts on your page - have you published it yet?

there is also a help button in the top right - try reading the instructions
