Ferret got into Peanut Butter, issues?
First off, going to call the vet as a just in case when they open, just want to get some possibilities of what can happen here...Experienced ferret owners/researchers only please. No silly guesses, I have a pretty good idea about most issues, mainly peanut butter has a lot of stuff they can't have and is sugary, which can cause insulinoma later in life if fed sweets often, or diarrhea right off...among other things. Far as I know.

So, someone unlocked and obviously opened the ferret room today without my permission and left the door open...not something one can do accidentally since you need the key for it. Obviously my ferrets got out. I work at night, sleep in the day...got up about ten till ten and heard all this noise. Scratching, banging, thought it was my cat and ignored it until she climbed on me and I still heard the noise.

I walk into the kitchen and Cooper has somehow gotten on the counter. I lifted him down and as I did, noticed he smelled strongly of peanut butter on his breathe. Some idiot left the lid off and didn't put it away. Health hazard even without pets obsessed with it. Mmm, bugs and mice. Just what we need.
I coaxed him to drink a lot of water, which isn't much trouble since he loves water, and some plain pumpkin to reduce diarrhea.

He ended up with nasty diarrhea anyways. I've been getting him to drink as much as possible to stay hydrated and gave a second teaspoon of pumpkin, it has since started going back to normal poo.
After he started going back to normal, I gave him and his sister their morning chow of tasty organs(chicken livers, hearts and gizzards. Mmm), and they both ate well as usual. He SEEMS just fine, doesn't feel dehydrated, his diarrhea is just about gone, still a bit more wet than it should be.

Do I have to worry about anything else NOW? Anything in there that could be toxic in large amounts? He surely got a good bit, must have been in there for at least two or three minutes. Been five hours.

I've never had any of my 3 get into the peanut butter so I don't know but they probably will!
