I had my website on google maps. I typed in the exact name of my company and I couldn't find it anywhere. I think that having my business on google maps is incredibly important since business has slowed down. How do I get it back on there? What cause it to be deleted? If you have any knowledge on this, please let me know! 10 pts best answer!

This happen to me as well.

I found that as soon as I started running another adwords ad, the maps listing showed up again.

I assume the map entries are tied to a Google Places Page (now called google maps?), the A-G labeled stick pins that show up like when searching: Hair Salon, Memphis. Do you have a places page in good standing?, have you claimed the one Google may have already created? Typically you would have verified your in charge from a postcard code. Sometimes Google believes a location has gone out of business.

You need to have a physical business address to obtain a page, it's search ranking seems to be tied to your company site ranking and perhaps customer comments and business directory citations. There is a places page for for owners to correct errors.
