I have to create my own product but don't understand the questions?

Hello guys,
In our school we are doing a creative learning project and we have to create our own product. first we have to sketch it and then they asked me :

Design a logo or poster and make a print of it
Think about symbols, shapes, colours.
Look at logos for other product.
How does it represent your product.
IS it memorable.
Simple is most effective

I don't understand what they mean can you help me ? and i don't understand this question:

Research your project and make a prototype
Before you start making anything draw at least 3 ideas. Think about materials and presentation

You already answered it but if you want some more help

1 draw a table and list some products on one side and on the other side what you don't like about them and base your product on that.
2 stetch/ draw what it would look like
2 Make it out of cardboard or wood
3 Think of how you are going to present it
