ipad internet history, how long does it last?

please can you tell me how long ipad internet history stays there for on your ipad? i have an ipad mini. if you have an ipad please can you check amd let me know?

my partner says he hasnt deleted the history but there is on a couple of days there

The history will last until it is removed, your partner has clearly removed the history from its browser.

Unless deleted, or the device is wiped it will remain.

It will only be gone if he clears the history. It will save itself on the memory of the phone, If he has deleted it will become evident seen as there are only a couple of days worth of history on the phone. He is very clearly not telling the truth to you.

If this happened on a Computer then you would of got lucky as inside is something called a Motherboard which saves all the history on the internet (even if deleted).
