Can I buy a domain name when its owner's license expires?
I want to buy a domain name that has already been bought. The site has not been developed, as if I try to visit the site through the address, nothing shows up. I looked up to WhoIs list and found that the information of the person is private. I have no way to contact the person.
I have planned to buy the domain name as soon as his license expires, which is in a few days time. I learnt also with the WhoIs lookup that he is quite careless in updating his license, and would definitely have a specific time gap before updating it. Is it possible that i advantage myself in this gap, or will he be protected from anything of this sort (like he is alerted or is right protected).
Please Help.
Thanks in Advance.

Hello

If the domain name expires, then you can try to register the domain name.

Most of the time when a domain expires the hosting company holds it for at least a month giving the original owner the opportunity to renew.

And that is if the domain does not have an automatic renew option. It may renew for another year after that date.

You should try to contact the webhost directly or see if it is for sale on a site like sedo.com
