I got a new router and now I can't download, play browser based games, check accounts? Why is this?

I knew someone else that happened to, and there was some kind of parental control turmed on. Which made a lot of things not work.

Routers have firewalls that require some types of programs to be entered into the rules so the program has access to the internet. If you google your router model number and the program you're having problems with, you'll find instructions on how to allow access for that program.
