how to do SEO a template website?
I'm no computer guru - as a matter of fact, I have 0 knowledge about SEO. I recently built a simple website on one of those template website creators - no coding required. It's a simple business with a unique twist.

I don't really have the finances to hire a SEO expert, and from what I gather, most SEO requires changing to code and content. Is there any specific direction/guide/process I can do in order to optimize my website by myself?

Appreciate any advice. Thanks in advance.

seo is hard work, trust me. it is not the old time, use some tricks to the ranking.

So if you want to learn something about it, from the basis skill.
what is seo? how can i use it to help rank in google?
please google seo knowledge to learn something basic, and begin to write the original seo articles. And learn more, writhing more articles. The key to the ranking in google is content and backlinks. NO SPAM,no tricks. it will kill your website.

Your 1st question might be from where you start your seo training for Free. Well Youtube is the answer for you. Check editorials and videos by SEO gurus from there you may learn more about SEO. But in the end Practice makes a perfect person.

You would most possibly need a developer to edit the template for you and write keywords in the relevant tags. However some templates are DIY so go ahead and start editing. Hal Smith

Search engine optimization (SEO) is basically about the things that you do to improve your site's ranking on the search engine results such as that of Google, Yahoo, and Bing. Search engines can deliver considerable traffic to your website especially when your site ranks high in their search results. Post relevant content on your website. Content is the meat of your search engine optimization process. You have to be able to produce relevant content for your website built around carefully chosen keywords that your target traffic use to find your business online. Carefully choose your keywords. Your content depends largely on the keywords that you will use so that the search engine can easily index your content for online users to find you immediately. Use search engine optimization tools to automate the process. Manually optimizing your website can be very lengthy; automating it can dramatically cut the time and effort you will have to spend for your site to be listed on the first page of the search engine results. Get quality back links to your website. Submit your site to online directories for link building and earn significant traffic as well. You also need to promote your website to build good links such as submitting articles with relevant content. The more links you can build, the more favorable it is for your site to get listed on the first page of the search engines.

Hi there,
your site doesn't seem to be very hard to optimize but you have to learn the basics of on-page and off-page optimization anyway.

You may find the following SEO checklist helpful - http://webmeup.com/downloads/seo-checklist.pdf

Other than that, to constantly upgrade your knowledge check Search Engine Land and Search Engine Watch - they post helpful tutorials for beginners from time to time.

Also, back to the days when I had made my first steps in SEO, I read a guide called SEO in Practice. As far as I know, an updated version of this guide was released a couple of months ago.
