Samsung galaxy ace is being very slow and laggy?

Hey i got a samsung galaxy ace and it is new (bought it 1 week ago). And it was really fast when i first got it, but now its very laggy!! Like if i press the main button it could take 5-10 seconds to load to the homepage thing. whatever i press (like the message icon or phonebook, etc) it literally takes over 10 seconds to open it. when i first got this phone it was instant!
I have a 2gb minisd card thing in it, and i have only installed about 8 apps (whatsapp, angrybirds, instagram, etc). And when i go onto task manager and select RAM it says 250mb/290mb (when no apps are running) is that bad? what do i do to speed my phone up!? cheers

Got the same phone, same problem. Removed all apps I'd downloaded and turned phone on and off again, fixed the problem. Suffice it to say the phone is crap.
