Best kind of advertising for website?
I have a website, I make jewelry and I am wondering what is the best kind of advertising to use?

I already use Google Adwords and advertise on Facebook.

I'm thinking of trying email marketing or banner ads. What is best?

what about blogging? It's free and you can add links to your webpage. Squidoo is a good one.

Ads

It's not a matter of selecting the "best" but doing EVERYTHING to reach your audience -- email, banner ads, pay per click, social networking such as Facebook, etc. You do all of these strategies depending on your resources

The key is which of these strategies will give you the TARGETED customer. It's one thing to advertise and reach anyone and everyone; but another to actually find those who will actually want to buy from you

Note though that there are two things you need to do:

- reach the targeted audience
- convert these visitors into buyers

Those are two different things.

I suggest you carefully track the quality of visitors each of the strategies you are doing are bringing. Take for example Facebook -- how many visitors does it send your site, and how many visitors from Facebook actually buy from you? What's your ROI? Make sure you use a good tracking software that allows you to study conversion and funnel analysis

The source below talks more in depth of improving conversions and getting targeted traffic to your site

Look http://www.paidtoclick.in Advertise your website there.

I found there website through an article that specifically listed they as a good website that sells high quality traffic. I purchased 5,000 visitors to my website, and noticed the difference before I even checked my logs! I am so glad that I finally found a way to market my website that can be done quickly. I know how important SEO is, but they have to promote in other ways too. I know I've found a working method!

I just wanted to say how impressed I was with there service. My campaigns were set up promptly and delivered as promised. I was impressed with the results as well. I purchased traffic for two of my websites and I received over 1450 signups for the first website and over 1030 signups for the second. (That's less than $0.01 a lead! Try finding that elsewhere!).

There advertising works great. I'm using a direct landing page for my campaign and have been tracking every ad. A very high amount of visitors have been browsing my site and my conversion rates have gone up..

Ever since I began advertising with Quality Traffic Supply, my sales have greatly increased. Since I now have a steady source of traffic which is targeted to my content, I now get a good return on investment. There traffic has worked wonders for me. I buy about 5,000 visitors a month to split up between my 2 websites, and for every $10 I spend there I bring in another $30!

Yep. Heres a few ways:

1] Advertise free http://www.sellit-right.com (uk, europe ,overseas) – they accept services & products, MLM, add url, eBay, Amazon listings, blog, products, etc. You can earn there too.

2] Make use of web directories and auctions
3] Create a blog and allow comments and linking too.
4] Join forums
5] Add url to Loot.com (offline too).
6] Put logo on company vehicle etc.
7] Put add in Local newspapers.

Taglo,

For what it's worth, A blog I think is the best because they can act as your central hub for all your websites.
They get indexed by google fairly quickly as well as other search engines. They give you a chance to express yourself, your work and most important of all you build a solid relationship with your readers and they can opt in to your newsletter if you put a form on your pages.
Then I would do a search on google for jewelry blogs and find one that has good info and join in on the conversation and leave a link back to your site.

Hope it helps!

The best kind of advertising is the one that finds qualified clients.

A mechanic won't advertise in a women's magazine, they need to put their ad in a car magazine and car sites.

A lot of the suggestions here are VERY GOOD. But I'll as one more I think some people missed out (this one can make you a lot of money):

Create an affiliate program for your site and go around to other businesses offering them to sell your product. Talk to businesses that sell complementary products, similar products or businesses that advertise jewelry constantly.

You can even go to direct competitors! They could have a link to your site on theirs: "Can't find what you're looking for? click here" and go to your site.

It's all about how you approach them. This is an easy way to advertise to qualified customers for minimum cost.

That was my million dollar tip!

I would agree with whomever said use EVERYTHING.

Sooner than later you will find the medium which provides you with the best return on investment, whether it be Search Engine Optimization, Pay per Click (Adwords, Facebook, Yahoo!, etc). You can the concentrate the majority of your efforts on the medium which has the best pay-off.

Remember to always measure the effectiveness of each of your marketing campaigns using Web Analytics so you can maximize each.
